This is awesome stuff, my friends...

"The Elf King's Horn" is done and mastered.  All that remains, at this writing, is finishing the graphics and giving the go-ahead.  That means, it should be delivered before I hit the road for PSG!!!   The first video is posted here on my site - as well as on Facebook...

You are all going to love this album!  Brian Henke and Jay Bentoff did an exquisite job of bringing out the beauty in the music I wrote.  I can't begin to count the goosebumps...    I've already performed some of these at the Beltaine Festival at Our Haven, and I cannot wait to share it with more of you.  Honestly, several of these songs stayed rather hidden for many years until this project called them out into the light!

At any rate, you will be able to get the CD soon and I will be posting more videos as soon as I can get them done.!

We are getting closer to the new CD being done!  Steph Dlugon came out to Dark Tree Studios and laid down some incredible violin parts!  Now, we are on the hunt for a French Horn and maybe a cello, then Brian will make some guitar magic in a few places!

I've come up with some initial graphics

and - here is the BIG news...

Hang on to your hats!  I am starting up and Indiegogo campaign to fund the rest of the project!

Stay tuned for specific information and invites in the next week or so.  It would be wonderful to have YOU participate!

Progress Report on the New CD

I am very excited about the new CD that is being produced by Brian Henke!  It is Fairy themed and all original music.  We've been recording at Dart Tree Studios with Jay Bentoff at the helm and the sound is just amazing!  I have some very neat instrumentals on it and there will be several guest artists featured.  I am considering a crowd funder to cover a good first order of CDs so stay tuned for more information as it happens!

It was a 10 day tour with Brian Henke and oh my! What a grand time it was!  There was a house concert for Helen Avakian and Dave Irwin, a show at the Eye of Horus in Minneapolis, a wonderful UUU Church in St. Paul and then Summerland Spirit Festival!  I played a lot and was able to share music with Beltana Spellsinger and Wendy Rule!  I'll be posting pictures and links to a few videos, too!  Glad to be home but it is right back to work.  Check the calendar and come out to see me in the various places this summer!

I've finished my latest CD. It's theme is history, genealogy and the journeys of folk from one place to another. While written to appeal to younger audiences, I think everyone will enjoy the melodies and stories, including narration by my husband, Donovan Ackley. The cover is a painting by my sister-in-law, Susan Richards ( CDs are available for sale and I have uploaded a few samples to the site. If you listen closely you can hear my newest addition "Jenny Lind," a ukelin on many songs.

Ordering information is up on the Music and CD page or check my schedule and get one in person!
